From me. When I upgraded the Sportster to 4/18/95 rom, I got the same
increase in connect speed that I did with the 5/95 beta codes for the
Courier. The Sportster now connects just as good as the Courier and the
Sportster doesn't have v.34+. V.34 is v.34, period. If you call with a v.34+
modem to a v.34 modem, you connect with v.34, thus it's the CODE that was
fixed. V.34+ is a nice addition. I'm sure they couldn't have got it working
without fixing the v.34 routines though.:-)
I'm sure that if you could talk to the programmers, and get a truthful
answer, they'd tell you the same thing.
