Well, it looks like the quilt project is in hand and underway.....but I
want to do something now that will emphasize the plight of adoptees and
birthparents who are searching, yet, who die while not completing their
search and never got to realize their dream of finding their loved one.
So, as normal, I turned to a favorite book of poems, and I'll be darned
if Robert Frost didn't do it again..."The Mending Wall."
What I want to do on my Bits & Pieces site is make a wall of adoptees
and birthparents who died while searching.....I can think of 4 in my
area right off the top of my head...Anyone else wish to add a person to
   this wall?
Please post this to as many lists as you feel appropriate and inform
anyone you feel would be interested.
I promise it will be tasteful and dignified....however, there has been
speculation as to whether this site will have music and what type,
suggestions have been "Amazing Grace," "Born Free," and Jim Croce's
"I've Got A Name,"...."Rock of Ages," "Battle Hymn of the Republic" and
   "Taps," were voted DOWN...
Anyone wishing to contribute a name, or a possible song for this site is
welcomed to respond, privately or publicly....I want this project and
this wall to be seen by all, in and out of the triad, for all to know
that those who have died have done so while trying to fullfill a
lifelong dream, and to pass on medical information that the system will
   not allow us to do...
   Sincerely,
   Jan Davis, CEO

If you do not have Internet e-mail access or access to the World Wide Web
which would allow you to send in your contribution directly, please feel free
to send them to myself in the echo with a request that I forward the
information/message to Jan. I will be glad to provide this service for
anyone who can't send it in themselves.
I personally feel that Jan's efforts with regard to this Wall of Rememberance
should be applauded and supported. So I will gladly act as a "go between"
for anyone without Internet e-mail access.
