I also found the Diamond Modem service very bad too.
Initially, I saw their ad in a magazine, and rang up to ask them a few info
about their modems.
They put me thru to the "info ppls" and I asked 1 or 2 questions such as:

Is it a Rockwell chip? Is it hardware v.42?

Well, I got my answers back, and before I have finished, the person over the
phone asked me if I want to order one. I told him I want to ask a few more
questions about the modem, and they hung up on me straigt away.

I never rang back anymore. Now that I got a Spirit Viper, I am glad I
didn't buy a modem from them. I heard that their modems are very faulty.

So, with bad service and faulty modems, I recommend everyone not to buy
modems from them.
