Actually, comfort should be the most important feature of the seat. I
suggest something like a recliner chair that is partially enclosed.
Speakers for piped in music and WWV time ticks could be near your ears,
colocated with the heat lamps. Tubes accessible from the focuser would
provide coffee, hot chocolate, and brandy. A special hood would keep out
early dawn daylight. A work platform would support star charts, the laptop
computer, and the oberving notebook.
Of course, all this will be obsolete as soon as you get a CCD focal plane.
Then the telescope will be outside in the crystal clear cold of the
Himalaya highlands, but you will control it and observe from inside a
comfortable trailer or motorhome will all the amenities: well stocked bar,
hot tub, appropriately attired massage girl, etc.
