No. My wife, who also avoids confrontation and is very good at getting
things done without it, was unable to help in this case. You don't have to
do anything more than be stubborn: just keep repeating that it has to be
ne.
If it's any consolation, my son outgrew this. Now, he just lies and says his
homework is done.
