Hi all, I'm a First Responder with the Red Cross Disaster Action
Team in Northeast Indiana. I have a scanner in my vehicle (with permit)
and have been getting interference that I don't get from home...
What I get is distant stations that operate on the same
frequency as the Fort Wayne or Allen County Fire Departments on my
scanner. I have been told that this is becuase my antenna is "to
strong"... Is there a way I can "cut" the reception power down a bit on
the antenna?
What I am using now is a basic magnetic antenna I got at Radio
Radio Shack. My scanner is an older one that I got from Radio Shack
about 8 years ago, and is actually a 10 channel base that I simply
'converted' for mobile use.
Any information would be appreciated...
