While listening to Sunny Leung Pete heard:USR Courier News?

G'day Sunny

PC> As my Courier is an Austel Approved one which is suppose to have
PC> the daughter board and yet it seems to have as quoted above "a
PC> real mechanical relay" as i can hear it click when the line is
PC> lifted and dropped, could the later Austel Couriers be the
 PC> single board version?.

SL> Short of opening the case and checking, there would be no way of
SL> knowing for sure whether our Couriers need the caller-ID mod.

I've never bothered to look so i don't know how they come apart, i'd
guess there are a few screws on the bottom somewhere.

SL> I do know my Courier clicks when it dials or hangs up, even when
SL> I do an AT M0 (I think) before dialing.

Same with mine though someone mentioned you should also here clicks
when you force it to pulse dial, mine seems quiet when i ATDPnnn-nnnn
but definitely clicks when the line is lifted or dropped.
