The above doesn't really make sense. And if your mind is closed, how could 
you have gathered the necessary information to make the above 
(pre)judgement?
In any case, Richard seems to be quite busy producing HP Magazine; I must 
admit, I have no way of knowing what he invests in. But HP does a feature 
called, "Things that Work!". in which they buy and test various RE-related 
products. One such write-up was on EDTA, in some form. I am sorry I don't 
recall the issue #, perhaps Michael does. If you someday decide to open 
your mind on this, the information is available.
