I went through the same kind of calculation, and it wasn't near enough to
make a difference. I'm more 20,000 a year, but still saving 300 or 400
dollars isn't going to make up for other pluses to what I got.
I fear that sometime in the future gas is going to be a problem, but
hopefully only temporarily. (and it would be a good excuse to ask for a
raise or work from home. )
