Yikes!  Maybe it's just as well I almost never went to school as a

That's true.  The granddaughter of a neighbor of mine had kids try to
rape her during recess.  She was in first grade at the time; and the
"rapists" were in first, second, and third grade.  They had her on the
ground, and her clothes off, before anyone saw what was going on.  The
mother sent her to school the next day.
If that had been *my* kid, she wouldn't have been in school the next
day; and if something wasn't done to the "offenders" to make sure it
didn't get repeated to another child, there would have been a law suit
instituted against the school in a few days.
Several law suits have been instituted against schools in the USA over
the past few years for not preventing "sexual harrassment", and parents
are almost always winning.
