good design?

Texereau's wedges box ruined a eight inch mirror, when one wedge came loose
and slid around on the coated surface. Nasty.

I wrap the mirror in tissue paper, taping the tissue together on the back
of the mirror. I then place a piece of round stiff cardboard, just a bit
bigger than the mirror, over the optical surface, and hold it in place with
four pieces of tape. A length of tape is then wrapped around the
circumference of the mirror, overlapping the edge of the cardboard disk, so
it is not likely to shift against the mirror. Now wrap the mirror in
several overlapping layers of bubble wrap, the smaller bubbles used for
dishes and glassware seems better. Place in a strong cardboard box and fill
any spaces with hunks of bubble wrap. Tape the outside of the box, address,
and ship.
