Concerning _Antenna_, Kerry Kowalski said to Troy H. Cheek in SCANRADIO:

Unfortunately, mounting either antenna on top of the car is not an option. 
I'm not willing to drill holes in the roof, and I don't trust magnetic mounts 
up there.  Also, I'm required to take my car into a multi-level parking 
structure with fairly low clearance from time to time, and I hate to think 
what the bangy bangy is doing to the antenna.
Since there've been no problems so far, I'm considering leaving the CB 
antenna where it is in the middle of the trunk, and leaving the scanner 
antenna off to the left about two feet away.
