SSDs are pretty much nothing more than a "fancy" RAM module...
like having a permanent RAM Disk... flash drives are pretty much the same,
as well... on both cases, it is pretty much the interface that brings the
bottlenecks to those devices...

take an external USB drive apart and connect that internal SATA drive
directly to a SATA interface and look at the testing speeds change ;)
