Speaking of stupid Windows tricks, I set up Windows 3.1 under DOSbox 
under Windows 7 Pro just so I could try out OLXWin.  While it works, it 
was just too much hassle to reply to mail to.

Under Windows 7 Pro, I'm using MultiMail and nano for my editor.  
Combination works just fine under all the systems I try.
