subject: SATA drives

Hi! Tom,

On Sun, 28 Apr 13, you wrote to me:

Ahha! I can see the trees now, with the forest parted at the mid-point.
So, a second HDD gets the next channel. The first is the master channel
with the second being a slave, presumably.

Nice to know. Thanks. My largest spare is a much-flogged 80gig, which is
a bit wonky after too much service as a multimedia storage device for our
media player hooked to the TV (too many power on/off cycles, I think). I
have a pair of 40gig drives still but the capacity is a mere 'drop in the
bucket', as you may appreciate.

:) Ooh, I must tell my daughters as they're both plotting to visit the
west coast & Vegas next year, together with our eldest girl's
"beau" (or "bo'", depending on which side of the
Mason-Dixon line you grew up on). He's a good hard-working feller, from a
good family. We have regular outings with his family, and it warms my
heart's cockles to know that my little girl found such a nice bloke.

Thanks again, Tom.

Cheers,
Paul.

... Some days it's just not worth chewing through the restraints.
