TT>I have questions about setting up a small home office LAN under Win95.
A source of info for this is the section on Network Adapters in the
Windows Resource Kit, which you already have if you have WIN95 on CD.
You could also address this specifically to Michele Mauro in the WIN95
echo.
TT>1> Do I need to use BNC "tees" and terms, or since it's a two-node
TT>network can I simply hook the cards straight to oppisite ends of the
TT>cable?
Yes.
TT>2> What protocol should I use in Control Panel > Networking? I've
TT>already got TCP/IP installed to DUN. Does that have any effect on my
TT>protocol decision?
NetBEUI. The setup procedure I remember picked the best protocol for
the hardware you installed.
TT>3> When I begin looking to share modems, what will road do I follow?
TT>How will that be affected by my choices now?
You'll have to get a third-party add-on to do that; WIN95 alone won't
share modems.
