I was the one having problems connecting at full speed to both of Paul's
Rockwells, but not his USR Courier.  Due in the main to poor lines at each
end of the link, IMO, although the replacement V.34+ EPROM in my Sportster
appears to have helped considerably.  I'm now getting 28800/LAPM connects
every time, even though the Rx level is still down around -33dBm most
times.
