LibreOffice is far and away better in compatibility with MS Office documents.

As someone who uses MS Office very heavily in school, except for a few quirks
with PowerPoint slides, LibreOffice works just fine for what I need.

P.S. Dumped Windows 7 and went over to CentOS (Linux).  Works great.  One
of the first things I did was compile Qodem and convert a MultiMail DEB
package to a RPM and now I can do my offline mail (yay!). :)
