Concerning _cordless phones 1_, Richard Dale said to Troy H. Cheek in
SCANRADIO:
RD> I don't know how well the 900 MHz phones are selling, but I don't
RD> know too many people willing to spend that kind of money on a phone,
RD> unless they're really worried about security.
If I did go with 900 MHz, I'd get one of the spread spectrum models. Seems to
offer the best bet at privacy. If, of course, I was foolish enough to think
that any radio conversation is truly private.
Not too long ago I was at a security convention in Atlanta. It was
overflowing with security specialists from around the globe. And time and
time again people would say "Excuse me, I have to make a private call" and
would move off to themselves and speak into a cordless or cellular phone. I
don't know what possessed me to leave my PRO-43 out in the van...
Anyway, thanks for the frequencies!
... "Bother," said Pooh, as Worf ripped his arms off.
