Hello Elvis!
Saturday August 16 1997, Elvis Hargrove writes to Richard Brice:

EH> Aint it the truth Richard. Demostrates vividly why the FLAME echo was

Actually I disagree with you here, despite being on the receiving end of a
lot of this nonsense. The problem is not the filth and anarchy that is
FLAME, but the fact that some cretin decided to disturb this echo with it.
Free speech dictates that they be allowed to carry on in the manner they do
as long as they don't disturb others. No one is compelled to read FLAME, if
you choose to do so you accept that you are going to see a lot of insults and
profanity. I'll bet those in here who've served in the military (myself
included) have seen and heard a lot worse. If the individual(s) rsponsible
are ever tracked down they should be dealt with harshly, bye bye node number
and told never to return. However if the inhabitants of FLAME get some sort
of enjoyment out of that echo then they should be allowed to as long as they
don;t disturb the rest of us. At least it keeps them out of here.
From what we've seen of the FidoSpine group over here they're to be
congratulated in preventing the complete take over of the net by Bodger and
his cronies. They even went so far as to try to take over the backbones in
other zones.
Bye for now,
Jackson
