        I have tomatoes, basile, oregano and squash... I know things like
pasta and rice freeze well... someone told me that things with garlic do not
freeze well... so ... any info you have on freezing will be a big help!
                                        Thanks!
                                        Janis  :)

    Tomatoes freeze but can only be used in sauces and soups, they
will fall apart upon cooking. Basil and Oregano air dry. I just
put mine into paper bags to store. Squash can be frozen after it
has been cooked. Otherwise just keep in a cold dark spot.

Subj: SLUGS

-> Diane,
->
-> DB>I just saw tonight while looking into the dirt of some my flower
-> DB>beds that I have several slugs. I can only remember something
-> about
-> DB>beer-- what do or can I do about killing them? Hopefully to lear
   them into 1 or 2 places.
 > Take some beer, the flatter (older, opened, stinky kind) and put
-> it into some shallow plastic containers. Put these anywhere in the
-> garden you want (the slugs will find them) and bury them up to the
-> lip. Throw them away and replace every few days. A can of beer can
-> go a long ways, no refrigeration is needed.
DB} Thanks so much for the directions!!! All I could remember was the
beer. I do have a GREAT and WONDERFUL way to get rid of bugs in the
grass. As soon as I get back from our vacation I'll post it. I got it
off a t.v. show a few years ago and have shared it with the neighbors
and we all love it. We can ACTUALLY sit outside in the evening and
*HEAR* to bugs POP!! They get so hungry, then drunk, they literally pop.
This way we KNOW they are dying off, Thanks again.....
