Yes, the ending was pretty good but, it was a bit of a shock for an eleven
year old. Thats how old I was in '81 when I saw it in the UK.

I have all the episodes on video. I recorded them when they were on TV in NZ a
few years ago. The recording was a bit crappy (you can't rely on the parents to
do a good job) so, I've started buying them.

I have to agree with you, some of the early effects were a bit shonky (check out
Blake in his space suit in "Voice from the Past") but, it has to
be one of the
best SF shows ever!
