As William Hurn was saying to Wendy Apgar:
WH> Windows 95? If the mouse works in Windows it should work in the
WH> Windows 95 MS-DOS Prompt (the DOS shell). If you have enough
WH> resources (spelled memory) it may not be necessary to restart
WH> your computer in DOS mode. Just click Start, Programs, MS-DOS
WH> Prompt.
I don't have windows '95. I did fix my mouse problem
though. I simply added the line in my autoexec that allows
the computer to access the mouse. It was a shot in the dark
that worked.
WH> Is the drive set up in your computer CMOS?
WH> Is the cable plugged in correctly inside your computer?
WH> You can buy a 5 1/4" floppy drive for about $20 - $50.
I've decided not to worry about spending the money
to replace it. New programs aren't even sold on
5 1/4 anymore. So my friend is transferring all the
disk material that I want to keep onto 3.25 disks.
