Hi Nate.
First you say likely I know more about it than you??? I doubt it bud.
Next here is what I do know.
UUincode is a way of converting a binary file to ascii so It
can be sent over the internet.
Next mime is a new version or different way of doing the same thing.
The technical part is different but, to the user they do the same thing.
Now we want a way to do what?
Send files over the internet?
That can be done 2 different ways.
First you can create a usenet group and let see maybe call it:
alt.commo.files or something like that.
Then every one who addds that to there usenet subscribe list will get
all the files / messages in that usenet group.
The next way is to have a subscribe personal mailing list.
I think JJ or some one already has that.
That means you send a message to a server and say I want to subscribe.
Then from that point on all the messages / files send to the list will
be forwarded to your personal mail box.
This is already being done with commo.
Now what option do you like / think would meet the needs of us?
Hope this gets us on the right road.
Sam
