Something like it. She died, exhausted, body wasted at 42 when the youngest
were still babies. At age 10 the children had to go out to earn money, it
was a matter of survival.
 
Even my grandmother at age 12 was sent to town to work in the household of
a respected family. That's how people made ends meet in those days. Our
children don't know how lucky they are in that respect.
