thanks for your suggestions.  I am considering how I can implement them
most effectively.  The women you mention are excellent powers of 
example.  So is my sponsor in Maryland, who I still use as I haven't 
been able to find one here - after all, she is still just a phone call 
away.  The phone call COSTS more, but not more than a drink would cost 
me these days.  So I feel okay with it.  I also write to her, if it's 
not urgent.  She always gives me great feedback - even when I don't 
want it.  She has an annoying way of being right, as most sponsors do; 
however, she has the good grace not to gloat about it - and to be 
gentle with her suggestions in the first place, so I don't react by 
rebelling. (as is my nature)
