You might also take a look at Menuet (http://www.menuet.org) - like the
QNX demodisk of five years back it fits on a single 1.44M floppy.
However it seems to have better support for Vesa 2.0 video and more
geek-toys (http server, assembler, etc) than the QNX demodisk did (and
supports *both* modem and network connections on the same disk).
