-=> Quoting Lars-ke Smith to All <=-
LS> Hello, all!
Hello Lars! My maternal grandmother's mother was Swedish.
LS> Until now I have been a lurker in this meeting, enjoying all the
LS> stories (especially "Cats in the barn"). I live in a small apartment
LS> together with my two black, indoor cats Kurre and Murre. They are both
LS> neutered brothers and borned in August 1996. Since I got them in March
LS> 1997 they do their best to turn my life up side down.
Problem is, you just can't get TOO mad at them, right?
LS> As the spring soon will come to our northern country (59N), it will
LS> be time to spend the weekends at my mothers summerhouse, where my
LS> beloved cats can get some fresh air and to feel real grass under their
LS> paws.
Here in Wisconsin (northern US) because of El Nino our winter has been
really warm, with hardly any snow.
LS> My problem is that since last summer my mother has got a dog. Until
LS> now i have not dared to let them meet each other. Which is the proper
LS> way to let them do?
LS>
LS> If mother take her dog to my apartment the cats are in their own area,
LS> and vice versa if i take my cats to her house. Should I wait with the
LS> first meeting until we first go to the summer house which is formerly
LS> unknown for the dog and not since last summer for the cats?
LS>
LS> I have the feeling that either of them will go nuts, so therefore I am
LS> most eager that the introductionary meeting will go properly.
LS>
LS> I thank you all in advance for your kind advice.
Best thing to do is have the dog tied up or behind a fence of some kind
to see what the animals will do when they meet.
