I do use fertilizer (same as you mentioned) for tomotoes... and rotate it
with 15-30-15, Miracle-Gro... (unless I side dress with manure, which I also
like to use some... here
in Ok., we can use all the composted material we can get, as we are sorely
lacking in
that dept... The soil here is very tight, and isn't so bad, most of the
time, once you can
*keep* it broken up.
It may be advisable for you to inspect the area that you are growing your
tomaotes, as
I had a friend who had great problems with her tomotoes. We couldn't figure
out the
reason she had so few, only to discover that she had planted her garden in a
spot that
had been a pig pen. Much of her other produce was stupendous... but high
nitrogen
doesn't produce tomatoes, just lots of plant!
As I said before, I would also pay attention to the availability of
pollenators. If you have been using insecticides, you may have interfered
with their work. Of course, you can always pollenate by hand. However, they
are better equipted...

Thanks, I'm an umbrella carrier... (If you're not going to be prepared for
Him to answer, why ask?)
cheers,
