The .dfm files will move to Delphi 2 quite handily.
I wouldn't say it's *easy* to port from 1 to 2, but it's not a show stopper 
by any stretch. The places where you'll have trouble is with assembler or 
things that are 16-bit specific.
In the one large program I've ported I had to root through it and find 
instances where I'd initialized variable in Hex and change them accordingly, 
and that sort of thing, but the whole convert only took about an hour.
Where you run into real trouble is when you fall in love with 32-bit specific 
items and start hacking them into your program once you get it converted :-)
