There is nothing in the CPU about busses like PCI, etc. > The fact that a Cyrix runs faster than a Pentium is due to the badging of > the CPU more than anything else as a Pentium 200 runs faster than a Pentium > 100. Bet you'll argue that 1 too. I would if I understood it. Due to the "badging" of the CPU? A Pentium 166 runs at 166MHz, while the Cyrix P166+ runs better than a Pentium, and runs at only 133MHz. Cyrix have a 150MHz chip which outperforms a Pentium 200. I can't see how "badging" is on your side. > think that most if not all MAJOR companies use Intel rather than Cyrix. Companies like AMP continue to buy products only from Microsoft (and by relation Intel) because marketing droids like yourself continue to tell them that they are the only products that meet their needs. This is far from true, of course, but there's clearly far more profit in an Intel CPU, given the outrageous price asked for them. > I have an Intel inside > :-) Inside your head? Obviously complete with bugs.
