If you have a USB Floppy drive, you should be able to configure it to be
available through the BIOS and the way one set's drivers in eCS install
is a little more "friendly" than in straight OS/2 through the eCS config
screens.

That's a no brainer then.

If this is the Analogue Devices "Soundmax" Integrated digital audio,
Uniaud should work with it, it does on my T42.

You can disable the touchpad in the Bios on my T42 - Hopefully also on
the Z60T.

The later Centrino chipsets I believe are still giving some problems
with the Genmac Wrapper driver, but several people are waiting for them,
so I think this should be resolved soon.

Probably leave ACPI/APM as the last thing to test !

I've had another idea !! If this system is available from a shop
(rather than online), why not download the eCS 1.2 Demo CD, take that
with you and try to boot the system from it. It's what is known as a
LIVE CD - it runs in memory after booting from the CD - this won't test
the SATA disk but it'll test the main things like screen, audio, mouse
and even cabled ethernet !!

Cheers/2

Ed.
