Richard, at 23:09 on Mar 12 1996, you wrote to All... RJ> Hey folks, might be dumb questions but I am having a slightly frustrating RJ> time with my connections to this BBS. Even after I have a 28800 RJ> connect, the BBS seems to work like a dog. Boy, does that sound familiar. Lines not too good, I presume? RJ> FYI: I have a Netcomm E11F (288K) modem and I am using this setup string RJ> AT&FF0\N3-K%C3&C1&K3M1L3 Unfortunately, V.FC is nowhere near as robust as V.34, especially on dodgy lines, so I'd suggest you force a slightly lower link rate, say 26400 or even 24000, and see if that improves your connects at all. Can't comment on the NetComm init$, but I'm sure somebody else will jump in and let you know if it doesn't look quite right.
