I'd check that you have a DNS assigned. If the login clienet says it's 
logged in but a browser can't get anywhere, it's often that your 
allocated IP address is incorrect (in the wrong subnet etc,) or you 
don't have DNS addresses defined. In short DHCP isn't working.

WinIPCONFIG - should tell you - it's the Win98 GUI version of WinXPs 
commandline IPCONFIG /ALL.
