* Paul is located in Sydney, NSW. Paul has a NetComm M34F (Rockwell),
although he has also tried a Spirit Viper (Rockwell) and a USR Courier.
* The troublesome modem is a USR Sportster (we'll call him "Bill"), located
in Queensland.
* The Sportster calls the Courier, no problems.
* The Sportster calls either the Viper or the M34F, problems.
As I said, that Motorola-doesn't-like-calling-Rockwells sounds similar to
the USR calling Rockwell problem Paul's been having.
Apparently since all this first started happening, a new EPROM has gone
into the Sportster which, at first glance, appears to have fixed the
problem. Only time will tell, I guess.
Cheers..
