George Wells recently stated:
"Many of the LP's were DBX
encoded.  DBX encoded LP's just about died instantly when hte CD was 
eleased,
even though CD's and CD players offered only mediocre sound at an outrageous
price."
        Do you have a DBX decoder. I have one of the original units
in mint condition with the manual. I found it at a garage sale. It
even has the old wooden side panels. I never had the heart to throw
it out, it was such a nice piece.
