Imagine that Gary has an unknown enemy. This enemy has set off some cherry
bombs and M-80s in places where Gary goes. He's also messed with Gary's
home twice, once in 1993 when he tried unsuccessfully to set fire to the
porch and once in 2001 when he cut the brake line on Gary's car, causing a
nasty crash.

Fortunately, Gary is now fully on the alert, screaming "What if this
guy gets a machine gun? What if he gets an M-1 Abrams? What if he gets a
MLRS?" and breaking into random neighbors' houses to see if he can
find them.

Personally, I'd suggest that based on past performance Gary invest more of
that energy checking his water heater, smoke alarm, steering linkage, the
dam up the hill, etc. But that's just me.,..
