subject: Networking with NT and Win 98

Hello Everyone;

23 Dec 02 21:25, I wrote to you:

Never mind... I figured it out. (isn't that always the way, you figure it
out right after you get frustrated enough to ask for help?)

I needed to set up an "Administrator" account on the Win 98
machines, and log in as that, instead of as "Michael Grant". (I
suppose if I added "Michael Grant" to the NT machine's
"Administrators" user group, that would work, too...)

For those who were wondering, I have no domain controller, since it's an NT
Workstation. Peer-to-peer is the only way to network the computers, using
workgroups instead of domains. I may later try using a Linux box as a PDC
using Samba; it's supposed to work very well with NT as well as Win 9x
machines.
