RP> Hi Lyle!
RP> I am enclosing a captured part of MSI's Qmodem file area because this is
RP> news to me if it is a QmodemPro test drive. I started out a few years

RP> 1.50 (1.53 after the patch upgrades) right after that. I still have the
RP> QM45TD-1.ZIP & QM45TD-2.ZIP listed above and my copies are Qmodem, not
RP> QmodemPro. The listing below is for QM46TD, but will be happy to send
RP> the QM45TD file description from the copies I have on disk. Anything to
RP> let me know I am not losing my mind completely ;)
All I can say is that I started out with the TD several years ago. I noticed
that there were several areas that I either could not get into, or were
arked
for use in the registered ver. When I got the Pro version, I checked those
areas, but could not find a difference. Both the TD and PRO worked so much
alike I had no problem and could not tell the difference, except I had paid
for one.
That's why I said that the TD was the the Pro. After all the patches
out and things have changed, there might be such a difference between the TD
and Pro that they are no longer the same.
One difference between Win95TD and the Win95Pro is that you are not
supposed to be able to create a script file for the winTD. I do know that
oth
the dosPRO and WinPRO is that the WinPro WILL accept the user ID of the one
for DOS. The only who would know is you and tech support, because of the
number format DOS= xx-xxxx and Win= xx-xxxxx or xx-xxxx, but the first XX are
different like maybe a 42 and win might be a 52 but that is the same for all
in that series. And NO I am not promoting hacking or stealing the product.
