inherently preserve a higher average sound quality than records in such work.
You can also do most of the effects possible with records with digital
sound, and more, though that starts to cost real $$$ for tools.
It sounds like you're at the point of perhaps picking up a couple of used
Technics SL-1200 Mk-II turntables with Stanton 680 EL cartridges, and
whatever cheap mixer you run across used (short of Radio Shack junk). In
funny Queen faced money ;-/, that would be perhaps $1500 shopping new, and in
the high hundreds used.
