subject: Totals in figure work

Dear Lauren
I'm not sure how familiar you are with tables but I suggest you use same to
line up your figures. If you need to put in any data use a 2 column 5 (or
whatever the number of figures is) row. If not use a single column. Type
the numbers in going down the column, one in each cell. If you are using
decimals it will pay to right align the column [ALT CLICK once in the column]
Ctrl R. When you get to the cell you want the result in click in that cell
(= black) anand use the Border toolbar, single line style for top border and
change the style to double for the bottom borer button.
Arrow to Table, Formula and accept the =SUM(ABOVE) [OK] This should give
you the correct total (check it thought). If any of the figures need to be
changed click in the total cell and tap the [F9] key to change the total.
You can size the columns (select the column as above, Arrow to Table, Cell
Height and Width... Column and type in the centimetre distance you want.
There are other ways but I assume you're not familiar with columns and it's a
little hard to explain in this method.
Hope this helps
