Hello Paul,
TSE Jr (formerly QEdit) doesn't have any math capabilities in it's macro 
language, so that's something that either (a) would have to be done with an 
external utility, or (b) would have to implemented directly in the product 
by us.
OTOH - TSE Pro does have math capabilities in it's macro language, and 
writing a macro to count words would be trivial.

Does anyone either know of a way to perform a word count inside QEdit (v3),

have a macro to do the same? I don't have freq'ing capability at the 
moment,
