So PM Martin was doing some pre-campaign visiting of the various Native
peoples, including meeting with the chief of Ontario's biggest tribe.

He spoke for an hour, expounding on his oh-so-wonderful track record WRT
land claim negotiations, and how he fully supports the Natives in all
their claims, and how he will continue to support them in the coming
years.

Afterwards, one of the braves presented Martin with a certificate that
gave him an official Indian name of "Walking Eagle" -- Martin was
ecstatic, and proudly showed it off to the media members who met him as
he was returning to his office.

One of the reporters was curious, so he went back to the reservation and
asked them about the name, what's the real meaning of "Walking Eagle"
(for he knew that the names were largely symbolic."

The tribal secretary answered him, "Well, it refers to when an eagle
gets too constipated to fly."
