EH??!!??

I agree with Mike O'Connor, Steven Levine, and Ken Yuill... This will
be good for us (OS/2 - eCS users) and general Computer Consumers..

Did anyone read the RELATED ARTICLE
http://www.theinquirer.net/default.aspx?article=33219> to the the one
that Mike pointed out
http://www.theinquirer.net/default.aspx?article=33223> ???

I "read" (into all this [IANAE]) that AMD is focused on delivering
"power to the people", "ease of transition", and
"SPEED". But what ALL
of YOU and I use are not made of all AMD's parts, they rely on lots of
"others" (3rd Parties) to deliver a Working, "Kick A**"
System... Now
AMD will be able to "raise the bar" in what a Working, "Kick
A**" System
is...

Imagine some of the AMD Engineers (like the ones that Designed the
AMD-64) being Mentors and Developers of ATI Video Chips Sets.. Imagine
some of the ATI Engineers "cross training" at AMD..

Look at what AMD has accomplished compared to Intel... Imagine what ATI
could accomplish compared to NVIDA....

As pointed out, Scitech is an ATI partner... That benefits the OS/2-eCS
users greatly......

As the PC market becomes more and more a "commodity", the ability to
make a profit becomes harder and harder.. Just look at the Hard Drive
Market...
This kind of consolidation is "inevitable", but AMD/ATI looks like a
good match.. (Read the first link I posted
http://www.theinquirer.net/default.aspx?article=33219>)
