From: "Mark" Wow, 74 yards! And to think you guys have been wetting your pants over a few inches to date. The point is this is something that you cannot prove will happen, cannot prove that your "solutions" will fix absent real facts, and even if it's all true, it's not an "Inconvenient Truth" type deal with false drama about NYC and every other coastal city being inundated with "yards" of water in 24 hours or less; it's going to take, if it happens at all, decades upon decades and probably centuries to occur. At first, as the levels rise (if they do, and I think it's a bunch of "Global Warmist" BS) we'll try to fight it off with walls and sand replenishment. For example, people that live here: http://maps.google.com/maps?q=Sea+Bright,+NJ+07760&ie=UTF8&z=17&ll=40.384867,-7 3.972149&spn=0.003784,0.01075&t=h&om=1 right now, are IMHO, crazy. A high tide with a full moon garners minor flooding, throw on some storms and it's deep. But, they've got a wall just to the right of Ocean Ave, and that sand to you see to the right of that has been pumped in by the Army Corp of Engineers on an ongoing basis for years, without that artificial help they'd have sunk below the waves long ago. They'll be among the first to adapt by moving, but other shore areas will as well as conditions warrant -- that is, if this crapola you guys believe in without doubt ever happens. Far more dangerous to our future well-being are your unproven plans to fix it. Cause your fix, as I've said, is unproven BS. I think it more likely that 100 years from now (rather than laughing at Geo's quotes), people will be sitting around in an unpleasantly cold environment and joking about how they'd all be dead if the "Global Warmists" had succeeded in cooling off the planet way back when, thus causing a cold drop beyond our capability to adapt.
