That's the problem, Geo.  It doesn't in any way resemble the oil industry
that I spent 24 years working in.  It was pure fantasy shot in
pseudo-documentary style (just like Traffic, by the way).

I followed it easily; it wasn't as complex as it pretended to bet, just a
few interwoven plot lines. No matter, it was too implausible for me to
enjoy.

You are seriously mistaken if you think Syriana isn't  a comic book. Hell
most comic books are more realistic than that movie.
