I've just replied to Vince in netmail about this... but no, BBBS doesn't use
JAM, it uses a proprietary format for it's message areas.

I use a switch on bbbs to generate the "raw stats" for each area, sort the
areas, then run a formula using awk and sort on those stats to generate what
you see in the FidoGazette.
