I have no control if a moderator wishes to keep a dead area running.

I can control if it is listed at 2:25/0,1 or 250/1.

At some point and once I have managed to find code that can read Jam message
bases I will start checking for volumes for each area and record such on the
echo's record that in turn can be reported on.

Then it is up to the star systems to drop it or not.

As mbse does not produce similar I would make use of such a facility and clear
out the dead wood.

but that is me :)
