I don't know this model, however the usual rules apply - check major
components are supported and be prepared to add additional drivers to
the standard install CDs

Major components to check:

Processor - as long as you are using eComstation v 1.2 MR or 2.0, all
AMD and Intel processors "should" be OK.

Motherboard Chipset - this is often the unknown and may need to have its
component parts checked.

Harddisk and interface - EIDE PATA no problems. If this system uses
SATA, check that the latest Dani driver lists the controller.

Video - check that SciTech drivers support the video chipset - if not,
you're probably going to have problems finding native os/2 drivers for
the video chipset.

USB - most USB chipsets are supported - again make sure you are
installing eCS 1.2MR or 2.0 Beta.

Memory & keyboard - I don't know of any issues here.

Audio - Check if UniAud supports it - if you want to play Midi files,
even though WAV works on some audio chipsets with UniAud MID will not -
there is a daemon that you can load that will convert MID to WAV files
on the fly to address this as a last resort.

Mouse device - be it touchpad or button or whatever as long as it reacts
like a ps/2 mouse it should work, however any advanced functions may
need you to try alternative mouse drivers to the standard IBM one - e.g.
AMouse.

Cabled Ethernet - if its Intel or Broadcomm there is probably a native
OS/2 driver for it, otherwise you are looking at GenMac wrapper as the
alternative.

WiFi - Check if supported by the current version of GenMac Wrapper.

ACPI/APM - may not work. The very latest drivers, that you will have to
add after you complete the build have had very good reports, but don't
be surprised if these don't 100% work on this system at the moment. This
technology is a bit "tricky".

Video / Audio on-screen display - there a great utility that emulates
IBM Windows utility (I think from Jan of Dfsee fame) that addresses this
need.

I think that's everything !

I also think that the eComStation Russian site ran a survey of laptops
working under eCS a little while ago, so it's probably worth checking
there to see if anyone hs posted anything about this model and if not,
and you do buy this machine, you could/should post your findings there.

Good luck !

Cheers/2

Ed.
