Not sure how you here apply "gambling" in our reach to address
about in a "what is"?

It would likely keep tuning the dial till a recognition hit!
I believe it some more complex in design than *just* patterns
or not patterns or even other-ish alien of patterns. The human
mind is wired to gender life (often in very complex-to-unreasonable
patterns of its own). "Pattern recognition" is a process; and
"emotional need", a guidance-goad to keep the mission in sync.
To effect this gender/husbandry function, we are allowed some
necessary freedoms in "consciousness" which is essentially a
working dimension. There would likely be an unlimited number of
such working dimensions creatable to need. Though the consciousness
dimension seems very awesome-pervasive-broad to us, that is only
because we are not privy to any others. Such others would only
come into a working grasp if needed for mission .......or by
accident?
......such are SOME extra-ish views nearly clear & reasonable
to me (far as they go)....
